This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information when you use the TechSight Data Feeds service.

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

• Account data: your name and email address.
• Usage data: API requests, timestamps and volume, used for billing and to operate the Service.
• Payment data: handled entirely by our payment provider Paddle.com — we do not store your card details.

3. Why we process it (lawful basis)

To provide and bill the Service (performance of a contract), to secure and improve it (legitimate interest), and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Sharing

We share data only with operators who help us run the Service: Paddle.com (billing/Merchant of Record) and our hosting/infrastructure providers. They process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards. Some processors may be outside South Africa; where they are, the transfer is done under POPIA section 72 safeguards.

5. Retention

We keep account and usage data for as long as your account is active and as required for tax and legal record-keeping (generally five years), then delete or anonymise it.

6. Your rights (POPIA)

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za. To exercise any right, email info@techsight.co.za.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, secret API keys) to protect personal information.
