These terms govern the use of techsight.co.za, including the Insights section. Using the site means accepting them. They replace the earlier terms, which covered only the TechSight Data Feeds subscription. Those subscription terms are still available at data-feeds-terms.html for anyone who held a plan.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
A description of what we do and a place where we publish. Nothing here is professional advice, whether legal, regulatory, financial or technical, and nothing here creates an adviser relationship. Advice is what we give inside an engagement, in writing, once we have seen the system we are advising on.
The articles and the daily AI Brief are written for a general audience and describe the position at the date each carries. Law, regulation, product behaviour and pricing move, and we do not undertake to update a published piece when they do. Check the date and follow the sources before you rely on anything.
The AI Brief is compiled automatically by an AI system, from the sources each edition lists, and published without human editorial review. Each edition says so. Summaries and any interpretation in one may be wrong. Read the sources before acting on an item.
You are welcome to write to us. An enquiry, a reply from us, and a two-hour session are not an engagement and do not commit either of us. Work starts when we both sign something that says what the work is.
Please do not send confidential material by email before we have agreed how to handle it. Email is not a secure channel, and until an engagement exists we have no confidentiality obligation to you beyond the ordinary one at law.
Everything published here, including the text, the images and the frameworks described, belongs to Tech Sight (Pty) Ltd or is used with permission. The TAG control catalogue, TechSight 90 and the rest of the method are ours.
You may read the site, print or save a page for your own use, quote a reasonable extract with attribution and a link, and share links freely. You may not republish a whole piece, copy the site or a substantial part of it, or extract content systematically by automated means, without our written permission. Ask at info@techsight.co.za. We usually say yes.
We reserve our rights against text and data mining. Nothing published here may be used to train, fine-tune, evaluate or ground an artificial intelligence or machine learning system, or be collected into a dataset for any of those purposes, without our written permission. That reservation is deliberate and it is made expressly, so that no general permission can be read into the fact that the pages are public.
If we link to something we do not run, we do not control it and we are not responsible for it. Our own products are the exception and are marked as ours.
We keep the site running and we do not promise it will always be up. We may change, move or remove anything on it.
The site and everything on it is provided as it stands, without warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from the use of the site or from reliance on anything published on it, including indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, that part is treated as removed and the rest continues to apply.
South African law governs these terms, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
We date these terms at the top. When they change materially we change that date and publish the new version here. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the version then published, so check the date if it matters to you.
