Tech Sight (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa, registration 2020/007761/07, Centurion, Gauteng. Last updated 14 September 2026.
The TechSight Data Feeds subscription plans were withdrawn on 9 September 2026 and are no longer on sale. No payment can be taken through this website, so there is nothing to refund on a new purchase. No renewal will be taken from anyone who held a plan.
If you had paid for a period that had not run out when we withdrew the plans, you are entitled to a refund of the unused part. We stopped the service, so the entitlement is yours whether or not you knew about it. Write to us and we will pay it. The withdrawal does not close it and there is no deadline we impose on it.
This page stays here because it governed those subscriptions and because anyone who held one should be able to find the terms that applied.
Write to info@techsight.co.za with your order or subscription reference and tell us what you need. We normally reply within one working day.
Who took the money. Payments were taken by Polar, which acted as Merchant of Record for those plans, meaning Polar was the seller of record for the payment itself. A refund we agree is processed through Polar back to the original payment method. Polar and your bank set the timing, which is usually 5 to 10 business days but is not something we control. If that route is no longer open by the time you claim, tell us and we will agree another way to pay you. What Polar holds about you, and why, is covered in our privacy policy.
What the policy was while the plans were on sale. A first-time subscriber could ask for a full refund of their most recent payment within 14 days of it, for any reason or none. After that window a monthly fee already paid was not refundable, but cancelling stopped future renewals and access ran to the end of the paid period. If the service was materially unavailable, or did not deliver the data paid for, through a fault on our side, we credited or refunded the affected period.
Claiming now for a past service failure. The undertaking above still stands, with one practical qualification we would rather state than leave you to discover. The service is withdrawn and we no longer keep detailed availability records for it, so please claim within three months of reading this and tell us which dates and which feeds were affected. Where we cannot establish what happened, we will resolve a reasonable claim in your favour rather than argue about records we no longer hold.
Your statutory rights are not affected. Nothing on this page limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, and those rights apply whatever this policy said at the time. If we cannot resolve a complaint between us, you may take it to the National Consumer Commission or to the consumer ombud with jurisdiction over the matter.
Consulting work is not bought through this website and this page does not govern it. What is payable, and what happens if either side stops the work, is set out in the engagement letter for that piece of work. Where an engagement letter and this page differ, the engagement letter applies.
